About the Artist
Former environmental planner and long-time yoga teacher Ruth Koch began her journey into art in the early 1990's. While raising two children and teaching yoga, she studied drawing and painting at a local community college. She soon became entranced by watercolor and continues to find it endlessly absorbing and challenging. Inspired by repetitive patterns in nature and rhythmic interplays of color and shape, Ruth finds painting a deeply satisfying and meditative process.
